Seven friends, we gathered to discuss our book of the month..
I set up this little altar to celebrate the Equinox and our friendship..
A circle of friendship... a circle of life.
We shared wisdom, laughter, singing, and food.
A little gift of baby plants to take home in memory...
Seasonally..this is the time of Easter..
Book: City of the Mind.... by Penelope Lively.
A beautifully crafted book of many layers.
A non-linear idea of history.. stream of consciousness ..in the mind of a London achitect.
Made me think some times of the movie INCEPTION.. dreams, creating a city, a history, in one's mind.
Beautiful photos!! You are celebrating the spring equinox, while today, we are celebrating the autumnal!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Joan. These pictures brought a calm to me, which I appreciated. Those look like pansies and are so evocative of spring here as well as there in NZ. They often are seen in early fall a well, their bright faces giving out cheer.
ReplyDeleteAutumn equinox here in England !
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading your blog.
I love your elementary altar! And that is a beautiful fern!
ReplyDeletewow wished I was there
ReplyDeleteInception? That's a book I wouldn't read
after having seen the movie
but....the book I just finished for our book club..Maisie Dobbs wasn't in my top 10 either
but you had a ceremony in a way...love that
Loved the images and the circle of life and friends you shared with! You're into the period of renewal and we're heading into our period of rest. I'm going to have to put that book on my Christmas wish list!
ReplyDeletewonderful way to celebrate the turning of the wheel.
ReplyDeleteMagically-Divine!
ReplyDeleteEquinox greetings from Britain - for us it is autumn, as the world turns. I have created a special art-work (you can see it on my blog).
