I love these cloud photos I took yesterday.
How amazing is this planet we live on!

"Days pass and years vanish and we walk sightless among miracles..
fill our eyes with seeing
and our minds with knowing..
How filled with awe is this place and we did not know it!"

I remember these words from Rachel Naomi Remen's books.
A friend gave me MY GRANDFATHER"S BLESSINGS to read when Mo was very ill.
The little stories were all I could concentrate on at the time. I followed up with her
KITCHEN TABLE WISDOM and loved that too.

  1. Your picture of clouds is so dramatic and powerful, Joan, and I so love your leaves bursting forth on the tree. I think that spring can be so incredibly dramatic a season; hopeful and forceful at the same time.

  2. I am not familiar with Rachel Naomi Remen - but I love the line "Days pass and years vanish and we walk sightless among miracles" I am trying to slow my pace and open my eyes so that I do not miss the joy of nature and the surprising miracles found in everyday life.

  4. Hi Joan, I really enjoy your photos. I have been looking closely at clouds over the last few days after seeing the beautiful clouds in New Zealand, and I can't think of seeing such beautiful cloud formations here. Jane xx

  5. What inspiring photos of clouds. The one above reminds me of a Vlamink painting. I too have read and been nourished by those same two books by Rachel Naomi Remen.
