Up above Lake Lucerne in Switzerland,
travelling on the steepest cog railway in the world
up to the summit of Mt Pilatus.
Fresh mountain air and
green mountain meadows.

How magic to hear the cow bells ring.

An amazing ride up and up, through rock tunnels and over narrow bridges.

I am enchanted by the wild flowers,
especially the little blue gentians
and wild scabiosa..

so special are these mountains.

  1. Joan - welcome back! I've just realised. Your post brings back happy memories of cow bells and wild flowers in the Swiss Alps many years ago. I can smell the fresh mountain air.

  3. Hello Joan, welcome back, it's good to see you here again.
How beautiful it is in Switzerland. That ride seems to have been a challenging one? And across that bridge. I get dizzy... The bouquet of wild flowers is wonderful. And feeling the fresh air in the mountains is pure medicine. Thank you for sharing, Joan!!
