To travel from New zealand to anywhere is a long journey.
A stopover is always an exciting thing to do.
Josie and I stayed three nights in Hongkong
and enjoyed ourselves so much,
if we'd returned home after three days we'd have felt content.
This was however just the beginning of six weeks of travel,
just a rest in the long journey to The Uk and Europe.

We loved the food and Dim Sum is our big favourite.
We were the only non-chinese in this restaurant.
A sure sign of real Chinese food.
We later ate Dim Sum in Chinatown London and Chinatown Victoria, Canada.
Those views from the harbour look pretty special.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful stopover. I would love to be in that harbor; the lights must have made for quite a show. Red lanterns for luck? I didn't know that. They're beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great start to a big adventure - I look forward to hearing about the rest of the trip - and seeing travel doodles maybe? I love your doodles - though I think they deserve a posher name than that!
ReplyDeleteHello Joan! And welcome back home. You have been missed. It's exciting to hear about your travel. The photos from Hongkong are wonderful. That one of the towers looks incredibly high. I love the red lanterns. Looking forward to see more!

What a trip this must have been! I'm looking forward to more!
ReplyDeleteJoan, what a wonderful beginning to your trip. It is so interesting that you had Dim Sum in three different countries. What fun to compare the dish around the world.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you are back.
Loved your pics - ahhh, Hong Kong - such a magical place. I felt your energy to explore and enjoy!
