  3. I still can't load through PICASA as I had been but I can upload one at a time through the picture link on Blogger. Hope things straighten out for you, Joan. I know I felt quite at a loss without pictures -- and me a writer.

  7. The lower sunlight through the trees with a hint of fall is beautiful!

Hope your computer's soon up to par. I had a problem when the power cord died. But didn't know that so lots of patience later (I like to think) a new cord popped life into Gertrude here.

  8. I've been meaning to mention this, but the days have slipped one onto the other...Before I posted the last post about Okinawa, I looked for photos. One particular Google stop caused me to slam on the mouse's brakes. I read that the Okinawan languages (which the Japanese do not really understand) come from a group of languages called Austronesian Languages. I then learned that this group includes thousands of langaues. Among them are the Maori and Fijiian languages. And that the historic home of Austronesia is believed to be pre-historic Taipei.

I'm sure you know this. For me, I felt closer to your posts. There is a certain peace on Okinawa that appeals. The connection to the languages and Austronesia brought a bright smile. Your blog has truly enriched my life, Joan. Thank you!
