sometimes a doodle
doesn't say
anything at all..

sometimes it is just a quiet
way to end a lovely day..

  2. I see a canoe carrying the seed for the tree of life...and the yin and yang -- always happy to see your doodles!

Please google the Tuskegee Airmen as my post was too abreviated to do them justice. (You might also want to visit the Harry Truman Library online as there's a wealth of info.) Although it may seem I've divered from my blog's path from when we first met, I really haven't. My self-pub, "Remy Broussard's Christmas," involves the sharecropper system. (Go to YouTube and type in the title.) To get to the self-pub, I had to sharpen my skills, hence, the fests and so on. At my age, I don't have time to query an agent and so on, so I just jumped into the pool on my own. Anyway, key to all of this is that so many records weren't kept - so many blacks and whites just didn't exist on paper. The Farm Owner was The Man. When the 1964 Civil Rights Act blew the system apart, the Federal Government became The Man...mostly for the whites. The Tea Party (within the Republican Party) is said to represent that hatred of The Man - a generational transference. Sorry this is so long!

  3. I smile each time I see you have a doodle, Joan. The first time I visited your blog, you had a lovely doodle and it warmed my heart. It is good to have quiet times, isn't it?
