While not blogging, I returned to doodling. A doodle a day is a lovely quiet thing to do. The woman who swims with the salmon is the gatherer of knowledge and wisdom. She is a woman of inspiration and prophecy. The Celtic salmon eats the sacred hazel nuts from the Well of Knowledge, the Well of Segais. I drew the doodle first and then looked up the significance of salmon in folklore.
Water and fish often feature in my dreams and in my doodles, and I love the Celtic stories behind these symbols.
