Of all the Beatrix Potter characters,
Jemima Puddleduck is my favourite.
She is the one I identify with.
She sits on my scanner watching me blog..
saying
Oh you silly goose!
I'm sure I too would have been totally taken in by that Wily Fox.

This morning down at the lake
the geese were sleeping on the new safety rubber at the playground
until they saw me coming..
and they hurriedly waddled over in a most friendly manner,
as if they recognised me,
a goosey sort of friend.
Wow. Kaffe Fosset. I will be there in my dreams. Wonderful sweet goose by the way.

ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time in Auckland.
Oh, I love Jemima Puddleduck. Wherever did she come from? She is adorable (as are the real things, hungry little ducks, aren't they?).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip to Aukland. Safe travel.
I have a soft spot for geese
ReplyDeleteMy grandchildren are just learing about Peter and such....
How could you fail to smile looking into Jemima's sweet face? I love the geese, Joan. Did you come prepared for the goose assault?
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous trip!

ReplyDeleteWhat fun. I've always enjoyed Jemima.
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Nairobi, Kenya, we had two geese (guard geese), Sit Up and Pull Up who loved each other very much. They had lots and lots and lots of children. We left Nairobi just before we ran out of lots of friends who loved geese!
ReplyDeleteGreat goose pictures!
