A poem by Karen I. Shragg
Think Like a Tree
Soak up the sun
Affirm life's magic
Be graceful in the wind
Feel refreshed after it rains
Grow strong without notice
Be prepared for each season
Provide shelter to strangers
Hang tough through a cold spell
Emerge renewed through the first signs of spring
Stay deeply rooted while reaching for the sky
and still enough to hear your own leaves rustling
Think Like a Tree
Soak up the sun
Affirm life's magic
Be graceful in the wind
Feel refreshed after it rains
Grow strong without notice
Be prepared for each season
Provide shelter to strangers
Hang tough through a cold spell
Emerge renewed through the first signs of spring
Stay deeply rooted while reaching for the sky
and still enough to hear your own leaves rustling
Beautiful poem and wise advice! Trees are amazing.
ReplyDeleteA lovely poem. Trees are so wonderful. To stand by a tree like this and admire it and touch the old wood. If it could only talk it would have a lot to say.

ReplyDeleteI just love this, especially the last two lines, which are so enchanting and worth remembering. Often. Thank you.
