Travelling in Japan was so relaxing for my brain.
I am a visual person.
Whenever I see words my brain reads them no matter how hard I try not to.
In Japan the calligraphy on signage
looked like beautiful art to me..
to be contemplated without words.
No way could my brain read the message in Japanese.
Instead the dancing brushstrokes
silently
sang music
and poems
in my heart.
What an exciting new banner, Joan. The calligraphy is quite beautiful, whatever it means. There is such beauty in handwriting of any kind, I think. It shows the character and soul of the writer. I used to spend hours trying to mimic my father's script. It was so very beautiful. Nice to see you back.
