It is sad when we grow to an age where our peers and those who knew us when young, have all gone. How wonderful to have family then.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08470961835179653158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2659897268236249304.post-34370572289342225422010-08-12T19:23:18.895+12:002010-08-12T19:23:18.895+12:00What a touching story. Old Filth. Gramps. Pop. Stories in books and stories in real life. You told this so well.

I have had books that I didn't want to end. Books that I laid face down, like yours above, and let it sit awhile before I let it end. I have read some reviews of Old Filth and I think I will try to find it and give it a go.

Let us know if you can how your book group likes it.

PennyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2659897268236249304.post-27117716204951587602010-08-12T09:07:34.138+12:002010-08-12T09:07:34.138+12:00Lovely post J, loved your memory and am now wantin...Lovely post J, loved your memory and am now wanting to read the book.Marilyn & Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00851884880790561276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2659897268236249304.post-42792017504726745752010-08-12T09:01:14.038+12:002010-08-12T09:01:14.038+12:00Thank you Natalie. I hope I will go when I am at home, in bed with a bedside light on and a pile of books beside me. I love that light in your picture. It speaks of productivity and comfort.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
